An Innovative Design for the Future of Work

The First Digital Trust Office stands out with its unique features and strengths. The design emphasizes fluidity and simplicity in office circulation, while cleverly fulfilling the client's request to separate two companies' staff areas while still allowing them to share common facilities. The layout ensures a clear demarcation between the public guest area and the general staff area, with the public guest area acting as a connector to link and separate the two companies' working areas.

Natural materials such as stone, wood, and charcoal grey metal are used throughout the office, presenting an energetic and professional image. The design pays tribute to the iconic office tower designed by Paul Rudolph in the 80s by keeping all hexagonal columns in a fair-faced concrete finish. The combination of round fillet corners and sleek fluid geometry adds a touch of modernity and contrasts the old and new, echoing the First Digital Trust's business idea.

Spanning approximately 1100sqm in the Lippo Center in Hong Kong, the First Digital Trust Office offers a spacious gallery-like waiting area that doubles as an NFT art gallery, showcasing some of the hottest collections in the market. A specially designed Zoom room caters to the increasing demand for web meetings under the pandemic. The pantry area provides staff and guests with a breathtaking view of the magnificent Hong Kong skyline.

This interior design represents a new era of workplace culture. It incorporates elements such as a zoom room, digital art gallery, phone booths, and hot desks to meet the changing demands of the modern office. The use of simple materials and the company's corporate blue as a highlight adds an energetic yet professional touch to the design.

The First Digital Trust Office project started in August 2021 and was completed in January 2022 in Hong Kong. It represents extensive research into the future of office interiors, catering to the evolving working culture shaped by the pandemic. The design focuses on equipping the office with both hardware and software for future metaverse development.

This innovative design has been recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2022. The award acknowledges the well-designed, practical, and innovative nature of the First Digital Trust Office, meeting professional and industrial requirements while contributing to a better world.
